A keypad that is easy to use with a display as well as brief instructions that can be found of the instrument make it easy to use. Parallel melting point determination of 3 samples based on the selected transmission, also suited for colored, melting substances that are impervious to light, since they can be visually controlled. Boiling point determination from 2 samples. 9 different warm-up times, working memory for 9 temperature programs. Data transfer to a printer (optional). The container for the sample and the metal heating block are easy to clean. The product works without silicon oil and without a quicksilver thermometer. Calibratable with WHO substances or a calibration kit of Buchi. The unit agrees with the methods of the DAB 10 and the Pharmacopoeia, e.g., Ph Eur. II, Ph Helv. VII.
