With colorimetric methods an indicator has to be added to the boric acid in which the nitrogen is captured as ammonia. During the titration an optical sensor detects the color change of the indicator to determine the titration endpoint. BUCHI’s Sher indicator is ready to use and needs no further dilution or any other preparation work. It is perfectly suitable for the titration in boric acid as it indicates the endpoint absolutely reliable and reproducible.
