Spray Drying of Scotch glue

Application Note Mini Spray Dryer B-290 Scotch glue

Spray Drying of Scotch glue

Scotch glue is a popular adhesive that is commonly used in woodworking, paper crafts, and other applications. Spray drying is a technique that can be used to convert liquid Scotch glue into a dry powder form, which has several advantages over liquid adhesives.

Spray drying of Scotch glue involves the atomization of a liquid Scotch glue solution into small droplets using a spray nozzle. The droplets are then passed through a drying chamber, where they are exposed to a stream of hot air. As the droplets travel through the drying chamber, the water content evaporates, leaving behind the dry Scotch glue particles.

The dried particles are then separated from the hot air stream using a cyclone separator or a bag filter. The resulting powder is easy to store and transport, has a longer shelf life than liquid adhesives, and is more convenient to use in many applications.

Spray drying of Scotch glue is a highly efficient process that allows for the production of large quantities of adhesive powder in a short period of time. It is also a cost-effective method that ensures consistent quality in the final product.
