Spray Drying of Rum flavour

Application Note Mini Spray Dryer B-290 Rum flavour

Spray Drying of Rum flavour

Spray drying of rum flavor is a process used to produce a dry, powdered form of rum flavoring that can be used in a variety of applications such as beverages, confectionery, and baked goods. The process involves atomizing a liquid mixture of rum flavoring and carrier material, typically maltodextrin, into a fine mist using a spray nozzle. The mist is then dried rapidly using hot air to produce a dry powder with a uniform particle size distribution.

Spray drying offers several advantages for the production of rum flavor powders, including the ability to control the flavor intensity and uniformity of the final product. The process also reduces the storage and transportation costs associated with liquid flavorings and extends their shelf life.

The resulting rum flavor powder can be easily mixed into a wide range of products to provide an authentic rum taste and aroma. The spray drying process can be tailored to meet specific requirements, such as particle size, bulk density, and flow properties, to ensure optimal performance in the desired application.
