Spray Drying of Recombinant human DNAse

Application Note Mini Spray Dryer B-290 Recombinant human DNAase

Spray Drying of Recombinant human DNAse

Spray drying is a commonly used technique for the preparation of dry powders from liquid suspensions, including recombinant human DNAse. Recombinant human DNAse is an enzyme used in the treatment of cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the respiratory and digestive systems.

The spray drying process involves preparing a recombinant human DNAse solution and then atomizing it into small droplets using a spray nozzle. The droplets are then passed through a drying chamber where they are exposed to a stream of hot air. As the droplets travel through the drying chamber, the liquid content evaporates, leaving behind the dry recombinant human DNAse particles.

The resulting powder is collected and characterized using various analytical techniques. Spray drying allows for the production of recombinant human DNAse powders with controlled particle size, shape, and other properties, ensuring optimal product functionality and stability.

Spray drying of recombinant human DNAse is a highly efficient method for the production of dry powders for pharmaceutical applications. It allows for the production of powders with consistent quality and shelf life, making it a valuable technique for industrial-scale production of recombinant human DNAse powders.
