FatExtractor E-500 SOX: Simultaneous hydrolysis and extraction for fat determination in Calcium Soap.
Calcium soap is a common supplement in dairy ruminants feed. In this application note, A unique method that combines hydrolysis and extraction in one working step of calcium soap from palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) is introduced. The extraction with simultaneous hydrolysis was performed using the FatExtractor E-500 Soxhlet, with reliable and reproducible results.
